I was lucky enough to be able to attend the amazing 2012 Vimeo Festival+Awards (more on that next week) last month in NYC. While I was there I had the chance to sit down with Blake Whitman, the VP of Creative Development at Vimeo, to talk about the festival, the community, and how music videos fit into the mix.

As we've said many times before on the podcast, Vimeo has been critical to the growth of the music video industry over the last 6 years, so it's really great to hear how music videos fit into the Vimeo community from Blake, who not only plays a huge role in how Vimeo operates and interacts with its community, but is also a content creator himself.

You can listen to our conversation here:

Here are the videos that Blake talks about at the end of the interview:

Is Tropical - "The Greeks", dir: Megaforce

Machester Orchestra - "Simple Math", dir: DANIELS
